Wills and Probate CV

Summary of Practice
Dominic regularly advises, drafts pleadings and appears in both the County Court and the High Court on a wide range of contentious matters, including:
  • solemn form probate claims
  • claims under the Inheritance (Provision for Family and Dependants) Act 1975
  • disputes over the validity of wills
  • applications for the removal or substitution of personal representatives
  • claims for restitution of estate property
  • applications under CPR Part 64 for the determination of questions arising in the administration of an estate

In addition, Dominic has experience of drafting and appearing on applications in the Probate Registry (both locally and at the Principal Probate Registry).

Dominic also undertakes non-contentious work and has experience of advising on and drafting clauses in wills and other testamentary documents, together with trust deeds.

Dominic regularly advises, drafts pleadings and appears in both the County Court and the High Court on a wide range of applications and claims, including sale of goods and supply of services, misrepresentation, carriage of goods and debt claims, together with tortious claims such as negligence, nuisance and conversion. Dominic has considerable experience of applications for delivery up of goods under the Torts (Interference with Goods) Act 1977.

Dominic’s insolvency practice encompasses advising on personal and corporate insolvency, drafting papers, and undertaking hearings in the County Court and the High Court.

Summary of Practice
Dominic has wide experience of both commercial and residential landlord and tenant work, acting for both landlords and tenants in advising, drafting proceedings and appearing in Court. Dominic's practice encompasses possession proceedings, Landlord and Tenant Act 1954 lease renewals, disputes between tenants as well as a variety of disputes arising from breaches of landlord's or tenant's covenants.

Dominic regularly drafts pleadings, and undertakes hearings at County and High Court levels.

Dominic has particular experience in proceedings before the Adjudicator to HM Land Registry in disputes concerning registered land. He is currently preparing a book on the subject.

Dominic also undertakes non-contentious work, in particular advice on the drafting of contracts.
