Stuart is an established practitioner with a practice spanning civil, commercial and chancery work. He is a fearless trial advocate, and a tough and effective negotiator. That said, he is also approachable and user-friendly for clients, both lay and professional, who appreciate his clear approach and nononsense advice.

His current caseload includes personal injury, employment, trusts of land/TOLATA, property, contract, partnership, professional negligence (solicitors, accountants and financial advisors), asset finance, guarantees, directors’ disqualification, insurance, springboard injunctions, passing off and wrongful trading.

He also deals with disputed wills and inheritance cases, (and gives seminars about them) and with Court of Protection matters – statutory wills and disputes about Deputies. Stuart will act on a CFA basis in suitable cases.

His most recent reported case is Milton v First Tier Tax Tribunal in which he successfully defended an application against a nonparty for him to pay the costs of a judicial review.

His wealth of Court experience is combined with detailed preparation, rigorous analysis, an unflappable approach and a strong Court presence to produce an effective all-round advocate.
