The 2008 edition of the Legal 500 recommends members of Chambers in three practice areas.
In commercial litigation, it states 'excellent and knowledgeable' Gregory Pipe has established his reputation as a heavyweight junior, and continues to impress. Peter Cherry recently appeared in a breach of statutory duty matter, Walker v Inter Alliance & Scottish Equitable. Lisa Linklater is noted for her expertise in insolvency; she appeared successfully for the trustee in Pettit v Novacovic. William Buck is a promising junior recommended for asset finance litigation.
The planning, property & construction entry refers to our highly rated property group, which ‘delivers a very high level of service’ and includes Anthony Edwards and Bruce Walker.
In employment, Jonathan French is ‘an effective negotiator and there’s always a strong likelihood he’ll win’, who regularly appears in complex multi-day tribunal hearings.
